I liked the progression of your post Red, from calm and controlled to borderline rage. lol
Lol when writing a long post, I try to put the rage at the end so to not scare people (at going from calm to rage to calm just looks weird xD).

Alcohol dilates coronary arteries which help prevent strokes. Grapes have a similar effect. So drinking a glass of red wine everyday (a glass, not a bottle xD) is actually good for you.

Some pro athletes get paid too much. Just look at what some soccer players are paid...

They are raising the retirement age for teachers as well to "save" money.
Same thing in France (except it's for almost everyone). Yet almost no one in the government has been a teacher or wants to lower his salary...

Don't know the exact numbers, but somethings like 10 000 teacher's post have been cut in ; yet more and more kids are going to school and more and more are failing.

Finally the week-end. Can start studying for next week tests.

Talk about random Azzer xD.

Some people get greedy because they want to live a certain standard that is way above their salary : not everyone needs an iMac/iPhone/iPad or a $30 000 car or to have diamond earrings to go with an Armani suit/dress. And because the more you gain the more banks "give" you money, those people start to get more and more debts etc...
Not saying you shouldn't buy those things, just that if you want to buy them, make sure you won't have to sacrifice a lot of other things (like food...). And if you need to get a loan for anything except a house or a car then just don't buy it.

I find it dumb to become homeless because you don't have a clue about managing your money when in the end it's really not that hard.

Had a nice little nap. Now let the studying begin.

lol That was random azzer.

Ya, for some reason the government seems to think that teachers don't need to be rewarded or treat well or their work because obviously we are so strong feeling about it that we would work for free. >.> I think we need to get some of these congressmen and senators here in the States to try to teach a class, for an hour, in each level. See how "easy" teaching is then they will.

I heard somewhere that apparently, this may or may not be true, that a homeless person in Chicago makes more than someone working for minimum wage 40 hours a week thanks to Unemployment. And the government wonders why people aren't looking for jobs... Maybe if we didn't REWARD unemployed people and instead REWARDED working people, they would. RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing stupid ass mother RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing government. /rage

Same thing happens in France. The problem is that Unemployment and things like it were put in place to help people. But some people just take advantage of it.

For example in French Polynesia there's something called "Mobility passport" that refunds entirely the airline tickets from FP to France if you are a student going to study there, or if you family lives there, or if you are an association and go there for the purpose of your association. Now the last one is the one that got exploited like hell : since you don't need to give any kind of special paper to be considered an "association" group of people would just exploit that and because so many assholes did that, starting this year it would be much harder for student (and everyone) to be given a Mobility Passport AND they won't always refund 100% it would depend on your social status, the type of studies etc etc.

Another problem : in France, when you get fired, for two months you continue earning your salary. In FP the government has changed at least 6 times in 5 year. There's something like 30 minister, they each earn something like $ 12 000 (pretty sure it's more). And each time the government has changed, less than 5 minister stayed. I'll let you do the math to see how much money was wasted...and because they threw away so much cash cutbacks had to be made almost everywhere...(ie : public lighting...those assholes from midnight to 2 am turn off some street lamps...and then they wonder why crime rate has gone up...).

Luckily France government isn't that RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up. But so many just don't care about the middle class...

yes you can earn more on unemployment than by taking that job at mcd's.....however, in order to get that you must have paid into the system so that guy from chicago probably had a pretty nice job (say 90k) and going to work for minimum wage wont even pay his mortgage let alone his car payments, utilities and such----so staying on unemployment is the best for him---he did PAY into the system to get it (though stringing it out for what 1 year + now....now that is bad).

yes I have been on unemployment, half of my family (me/hubby's side) are also not employed--not their faults either, its hard to keep a job when your company goes away or moves to china and they aint takin you with em.....yea the system sucks right now......and unemployment was supposed to be very temporary (6 months from what I remember when I was on it 13 years ago)....just enough to get you by while you find another job, but with the craaaappy economy the way it is now, there just arent any jobs in many fields and their is a huge amount of people fighting for one if there is one available. Though extending the benefits probably hurt the country more than it helped ----I am no economists major---but as pwnd said, there are many people just sitting on their butts instead of looking for work and getting a nice unemployment check too.

so with no jobs people arent looking and companies see no need to create any, so people who realize that they can be on unemployment and earn more that way than getting a minimum wage (or slightly above job) arent bothering to look until the end of the checks

(and by the way, minimum wage wont even cover my expenses---eg it would cost me MORE to go to work at that rate than I would take in when you consider the cost of gas, upkeep for the car, meals--right now I eat at home or sometimes not at all--, clothing etc...not to mention the taxes and such they take out....unless I found a job within walking distance from my home and that aint gonna happen).

If only there was a company that gives you a job, but not only that it secures your assets from being seized from the bank and helps prevent people from sinking into more debt if they are disabled. The only thing is that there is something already like that, its called insurance minus the job. The only way something like insurance combines with another company.

Their is also another way to solve unemployment AND homelessness having a company to provide the employees with living quarters, meals, beds and money.

I know the ideas I have do not sound that much of good ideas, but if it solves some problems. Why not

Companies are supposed to provide money anyways. Living quarters is another thing though. I don't know about that stuff though it would be nice. But it probably won't happen.

Those that are unemployment but are actively searching for a job don't bother me. It is those that simply sit on their lazy asses and deposit their unemployment check every month. Bunch of hooey it is.

Going as unemplyed in Denmark is not fun, i'd rather work some places than smooch on society, the problem however, is that there is no friggin way to get a job, so i have to go unemployed, which sucks.

yeah back when I did it (late 90's) they took no taxes out of it, so when I did my taxes I wound up paying even though I was only on it for like 2 months (I was doing SOME temp work so I was working, just not enough to be considered employed)...they have since changed it, you can now have your taxes removed from it and yes, you can be on it a lot longer.....
also you had to show the gov't guys that you had been actively looking for employment --you had to give them the names/addresses of where you had sent your resumes that week (a minimum of 3) as well as GET an interview like every other week ----or you were done. Guess that has changed too (I think this was the time I was signed up with like 6 or 7 temp agencies to try to get back to work....)

not a time I like to remember much, though I did get to work for WIC...that was fun....

Ya that has probably changed. I have not been on unemployment since I haven't been anything other than a student, but it sounds like it probably has. Hopefully I'll have a job next school year... Otherwise I guess I'll just be subbing.

Sports commentator looks like fun and you get to travel to different countries. And if you don't find a job in Denmark, you can always try France. Every year there are new soccer commentators, specially from other countries. (Although I seem to recall that you don't like France that much xD).

Becoming a DJ isn't that hard if you really want to become one. What may be hard is to find good nightclubs.

I maintain that had they had Sports Communication as a major when I first got here I might have done that instead of teaching. But they didn't so oh well.

I know a guy who is a DJ. Lots of self-promotion is involved with it.

There are good DJ's and bad DJ's. I'm not sure if the guy I know is a good DJ or not since he DJ's at clubs and then also on a hip-hop/rap radio station that I don't listen too. So ya.
